TRAINING ARRANGEMENTS – LATEST GUIDANCE

As a result of the latest Government regulations the WRU has outlined that only fitness, ball skills and touch activities will be possible within a training session. In addition, the numbers allowed to participate in one age group will be limited to 30 but the cohort will need to be divided into groups of a maximum of 15. I.e. if there are 28 in a session it will be necessary to work in two groups of 14 and 14.

All age groups will undertake training in a designated part of the field. Players will need to enter/exit in specifc locations. Each designted area will have a disinfection/sanitation station and all children will be expected to sanitise their hands before starting and finishing training.

This note from the WRU summarises the arrangements in a simple visual:

PRE-TRAINING

It will be necessary to ensure that the WRU symptom checker is completed on the training day to confirm that the child/young person is healthy and not had contact in the previous 7 days with an individual who has tested positive for Covid 19. The symptom checker is available through the WRU game locker registration process . Coaches will also remind parents/carers on the need to confirm health status and take a note of everyone attending in case of technical problems with the symptom checker process.

All children to eat before training and to hand wash before leaving the house.

It is advisable not to car share with those outside the family bubble.

DURING TRAINING
